Focaccia

During the holidays, an Italian focaccia is a perfect side dish or starter that is sure to impress. This light, golden brown bread classic is made with our Focaccia flour and Bonsecco extra virgin olive oil. Finish it off with our Provencal Herbs Olives olives and salt and enjoy!

Preparation

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water and mix it with the Focaccia flour and 1 teaspoon of salt. Add 50 ml of Bonsecco extra virgin olive oil and knead well for 3 minutes. Let rise for 2-4 hours under a damp cloth in a warm place.
  2. Preheat the oven to 390 degrees. Take a rectangular baking tin of approximately 8x12 in and put a layer of Bonsecco extra virgin olive oil in it.
  3. Divide the dough evenly over the rectangular baking tin and spread the olives in extra virgin olive oil over it. Sprinkle some salt over the foccacia to taste.
  4. Bake the foccacia for 10-15 minutes. Tip: Delicious to serve with a hot cup of soup.
