Grilled Asian Red Onion Steak Kebabs

Grilled Asian Red Onion Steak Kebabs are marinated in a saucy Asian red onion sesame sauce and grilled to perfection!

Ingredients

1 \u00bd lbs Top sirloin steak
1 Red onion
2\/3 C Low Sodium Soy Sauce
4 Tb Red Onion Balsamic Vinegar
5 Garlic cloves, peeled and minced
\u00bc C Toasted Sesame Seed oil
\u00bc C Sugar
1 Tb Minced ginger
2 Tb Sesame Seeds
2 Green onions, sliced for garnish

Preparation

  1. Cut steak into one-inch cubes
  2. Cut ¼ of the red onion into slices and place in food processor to puree. Slice the rest into large chunks, these will be used in between the steak on the skewers.
  3. In a large mixing bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients. Soy sauce, Red Onion Vinegar, pureed red onion, garlic, toasted sesame seed oil, sugar and ginger. Place the cubed steak into a gallon size Ziplock bag and pout the marinade into the bag. Toss to coat the steak thoroughly. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
  4. Thread steak and red onion chunks onto skewers alternating steak with onion.
  5. Preheat the grill, when heat is medium to high place the kebabs on the grill. Grill for 8-10 minutes turning to ensure the meat is done on all sides.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onion.
