Gorgonzola, Fig Spread & Walnut Pizza

Ingredients

6-8 tbsp Dried Fig Spread
1 handful Chopped Walnuts
1 cup Gorgonzola Cheese
2 cups Flour for Fresh Pizza \u201c0\u201d
1 tsp Salt
0.25 oz (7g) Dried Yeast (or .9oz fresh yeast)
1 1\/4 cup Lukewarm Water
4 tbsp Bonsecco EVOO
Fresh Black Pepper

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the water and mix this into the pizza flour with the salt. Add olive oil and knead into a dough. Allow to rise under a damp dish towel for 90 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Place a pizza stone on the bottom rack if using one so it can heat up as you prepare the pizza.
  3. Spread the Fig Spread over the dough, top with cheese, walnuts, and fresh ground pepper.
  4. Bake for 6-10 minutes on the pizza stone or sheet pan until bubbling hot and crust is crispy.
